From 28 to 30 May 2026, the sixth edition of the “Galileo Galilei Science & Space Festival” will take place in Frankfurt and Darmstadt. The festival is dedicated to promoting scientific culture and topics, and to promoting the extraordinary network of Italian professors and researchers based in Italy and abroad.
Thursday 28 May: opening day at the Frankfurter Kunstverein, featuring an interview with the Italian astrophysicist Prof. Dr Luciano Rezzolla of Goethe University on “Gravitational waves and how and why our view of the Universe has changed”.
On Saturday 30 May, at the ESA-ESOC Press Centre, alongside two fascinating talks on an upcoming new ESA mission and the use of AI in space, young researchers from various universities and departments will have their very own forum for discussion: Italian Science Slam!
